Operated by OC Transpo, the Transitway is a rapid transit bus network that operates throughout Ottawa in addition to regular bus routes. Most of the busses used feature low floors which are accessible to those with limited mobility. The busses utilise overpasses, trench highways and bridges as much as possible to stay above or below the grade of normal traffic enabling them to travel at full speed even during busy traffic times.
