Every year on the last Saturday in May since the 1980s, individual homes in Ottawa's Glebe neighbourhood put on garage sales, creating one huge sale. Bargain hunters from all over converge on the neighbourhood looking for deals. Traditionally 10% of all proceeds go to the Ottawa Food Bank. The event is sponsored by the Glebe Community Association.
