Having teachers present materials using fun and captivating teaching activities may help increase students’ attention, enhance peer group communication, and create the best classroom experience. Participants will be given practical tools to teach this subject to grade levels 5 to 11.

This amazing festival features imaginative lanterns made from tissue paper and bamboo made by locals. TBA In early May, Ottawa's official flower, the tulip, is in full bloom. To celebrate, visitors and locals alike tour the beds of bright flowers throughout the city and Major's Hill Park hosts dozens of concerts. History buffs may want to see one bed of tulips in particular. Since the end of the Second World War the Dutch government has sent bulbs in appreciation for Canada's wartime efforts. Some of the flowers now bloom at Commissioners Park.

TBA Every year on the last Saturday in May since the 1980s, individual homes in Ottawa's Glebe neighbourhood put on garage sales, creating one huge sale. Bargain hunters from all over converge on the neighbourhood looking for deals. Traditionally 10% of all proceeds go to the Ottawa Food Bank. The event is sponsored by the Glebe Community Association.
